Bengal Urban Infrastructure Development Limited (IL&FS Infrastructure Development Corporation's JV with Government of West Bengal) was awarded a Certificate of Excellence for its outstanding work towards development of a 24x7 Water Supply Project under Bally Municipality. The Project was initially abandoned by the State Agencies and then taken up by IIDC on specific request of the Municipality. The project was successfully structured inspite of several technical and other hurdles and sanctioned under JNNURM.

The award was handed over by the Hon'ble Minister of Tourism and Small Scale Enterprises Mr. Manab Mukhopadhyay in the presence of several other senior Government Officials to the BUIDL Team on 24th April 2010. This is a rare gesture when the Govt. publicly acknowledged the work of a "Project Advisor".
