Brief Description: Ministry of Railways has strategically planned to construct high-capacity, high-speed, dedicated freight corridors along the golden quadrilateral and its diagonals. The first phase comprises of the construction of two Dedicated Freight Corridors (DFC) spanning the Mumbai-Delhi (Western DFC) covering a length of 1483 km and Delhi-Kolkata (Eastern DFC) covering a length of 1279 km.

Our role in this project encompasses

	Preparation of a Business Plan for DFC
	Execution of a Concession Agreement between the Ministry of Railways (MOR) and DFCCIL
	Concluding 2 PPP transactions – a Logistics Park at Rewari and a section of track infrastructure

This assignment is being executed by a Consortium of 4 firms

IL&FS (Lead), Halcrow (UK), Blake Dawson (Australia) & RITES

Project Cost: Rs. 500,000 Mn.

Expected Closure Date: August 2012
