Brief Description: Ministry of Railways has strategically planned to construct high-capacity, high-speed, dedicated freight corridors along the golden quadrilateral and its diagonals. The first phase comprises of the construction of two Dedicated Freight Corridors (DFC) spanning the Mumbai-Delhi (Western DFC) covering a length of 1483 km and Delhi-Kolkata (Eastern DFC) covering a length of 1279 km.
