Brief Description: The projects envisage exploitation of surplus, vacant land of Indian Railways to generate additional revenues/funds from non-tariff measures. IIDC’s mandate is to carry out the feasibility study and bid out the project to private developers. Out of the 14 sites allocated to IIDC, 2 sites at Gwalior & Bangalore have been bidded out.  3 sites i.e. Sarai Rohilla (Delhi), Katra (J&K), Vizag  (A.P) are in progress. The remaining 9 sites with only residential components have been put on hold at the instructions of the Railway Board.

Project Cost: 42,000 Mn (for 14 sites)
